Investing in women’s health is our priority

Do you ever wonder why there aren’t more health products and services designed for women?

The crux of the issue is ultimately who is (and it not) experiencing the problem. Because if you’re not experiencing the problem, you won’t see a pressing need to solve the problem.

Representation in healthcare, entrepreneurship, and VC funding are major roadblocks for female-founded ventures.

If you never feel the pain, why would you be motivated to fix it? It might not even seem real to you.

This article delves into the dearth of funding for female health startups. There are many interesting stats, but this one really caught our attention:

Currently and historically there has been a larger percentage of women working in health care than in the rest of corporate America. However, representation for women in decision-making roles is still lower. Some 75% of entry-level health workers are women, while only 32% of the health care C-suite is made up of women.

Obviously there is more than one issue at play here. But the impact on women is very real and we live with it everyday.

And so, we want to hear from you: What do you see as a solution(s) to the problem? What healthcare products or services do you see missing in the market? What healthcare products or services have helped you most?

We invite & look forward to your comments…
